On this R-data statistics page, you will find information about the openness data set which pertains to openness. The openness data set is found in the wooldridge R package. You can load the openness data set in R by issuing the following command at the console data("openness"). This will load the data into a variable called openness. If R says the openness data set is not found, you can try installing the package by issuing this command install.packages("wooldridge") and then attempt to reload the data. If you need to download R, you can go to the R project website. You can download a CSV (comma separated values) version of the openness R data set. The size of this file is about 16,952 bytes.

Data loads lazily. Type data(openness) into the console.

Usage

data(openness)

Format

A data.frame with 114 rows and 12 variables:

  • open. imports as percent GDP, '73-

  • inf. avg. annual inflation, '73-

  • pcinc. 1980 per capita inc., U.S. $

  • land. land area, square miles

  • oil. =1 if major oil producer

  • good. =1 if 'good' data

  • lpcinc. log(pcinc)

  • lland. log(land)

  • lopen. log(open)

  • linf. log(inf)

  • opendec. open/100

  • linfdec. log(inf/100)
