On this R-data statistics page, you will find information about the Speed data set which pertains to Speed. The Speed data set is found in the Stat2Data R package. You can load the Speed data set in R by issuing the following command at the console data("Speed"). This will load the data into a variable called Speed. If R says the Speed data set is not found, you can try installing the package by issuing this command install.packages("Stat2Data") and then attempt to reload the data. If you need to download R, you can go to the R project website. You can download a CSV (comma separated values) version of the Speed R data set. The size of this file is about 289 bytes. DetailsIn 1987 the federal government allowed the speed limit on interstate highways to be 65 mph in most areas. In 1995 federal restrictions were eliminated, so that states assumed control of setting speed limits on interstate highways. This data set compares fatality rates for years before and after the states assumed control for highway speed limits.
