On this R-data statistics page, you will find information about the Pulse data set which pertains to Pulse. The Pulse data set is found in the Stat2Data R package. You can load the Pulse data set in R by issuing the following command at the console data("Pulse"). This will load the data into a variable called Pulse. If R says the Pulse data set is not found, you can try installing the package by issuing this command install.packages("Stat2Data") and then attempt to reload the data. If you need to download R, you can go to the R project website. You can download a CSV (comma separated values) version of the Pulse R data set. The size of this file is about 4,531 bytes. DetailsStudents in a Stat2 class recorded resting pulse rates (in class), did three "laps" walking up/down a nearby set of stairs, and then measured their pulse rate after the exercise. They provided additional information about height, weight, exercise, and smoking habits via a survey.
