On this R-data statistics page, you will find information about the aircondit7 data set which pertains to Failures of Air-conditioning Equipment. The aircondit7 data set is found in the boot R package. You can load the aircondit7 data set in R by issuing the following command at the console data("aircondit7"). This will load the data into a variable called aircondit7. If R says the aircondit7 data set is not found, you can try installing the package by issuing this command install.packages("boot") and then attempt to reload the data. If you need to download R, you can go to the R project website. You can download a CSV (comma separated values) version of the aircondit7 R data set. The size of this file is about 82 bytes.
Failures of Air-conditioning Equipment
Proschan (1963) reported on the times between failures of the air-conditioning equipment in 10 Boeing 720 aircraft. The
aircondit data frame contains the intervals for the ninth aircraft while
aircondit7 contains those for the seventh aircraft.
Both data frames have just one column. Note that the data have been sorted into increasing order.
The data frames contain the following column:
The time interval in hours between successive failures of the air-conditioning equipment
The data were taken from
